“As a long time reader of bed stories to all sorts of children I am very particular about what one can give them at this precious time of day. As the children begin to be still, or at least trying to be, when they are resting and taking in the day itself. Enjoying that special time together before dreamland, where one wills it to be a soft and beautiful sleep for them. It’s with this in mind that I adored Leanne’s Creaturmals. The tone and imagery reminded me of what a children’s book should be – not too grand, not overly computer generated. It is just a gorgeous loving story which is easy to follow and fires the imagination. The tone of friendship and respect of nature is a great gift to pass on and this is delivered here with grace and humor too! One cannot help but get lost in the Creaturmals world, and the only thing I would ask at the end (as my kids did) is…what happens next;” Fiona Johnston Sydney Australia 23rd May 2016

Creaturmals by Leanne Hill takes the reader on a wonderful journey. Leanne set out to capture the minds of children and Making Friends really does that. The characters are mystical and allow children to create endless possibilities by combining what they know with an unknown adventure ahead. Making Friends starts by creating a warm atmosphere, where the main character feels safe and secure. Inspired by the stories he has heard he is ready to explore the world to create his own story. The reader is easily drawn into this world and soon becomes one of the friends going along on the journey. The language encourages the reader to think and allows for many opportunities to ponder what is and what will lay ahead. There is a friendly atmosphere where everyone is included and has the chance to express themselves. Leanne had my little ones and I doing just that, sharing our thoughts on what the characters should do. We were definitely left waiting for the next big adventure.
