This book was written following the author's personal struggle with the psychological and physical pressures of caring for his mum. His experiences and research led him to develop a solution which counters the devastating effects of what the medical world refers to as "Caregiver Syndrome." He identifies seven areas that make for a joyful life. This book is packed full of stories that will educate, inform and inspire the reader to create a better life and future. The author's engaging style will ensure that you definitely will not want to put this book down. After reading this book you will enjoy: • Higher levels of self-esteem. • An improvement in your physical health. • A greater understanding of yourself and others. • A powerful mindset. • A more optimistic outlook. • The ability to handle change. • The confidence just to be yourself. • Greater focus and a sense of direction. • A general feeling of contentment and well-being. Praise for A Gift for Carers: "This book is a great inspiration to not only carers but those who are being cared for. A very touching subject that is at the forefront of health care services, policy makers and individuals today that will no doubt raise greater interest for all of us as we age later and change the demographics of society. The chapters are well laid out and packed with information, tips and exercises that engage the reader. Will has brought this subject to life with his immense knowledge on so many related issues around carers, and survival strategies that encompass biopsychosocial, spiritual and self management in many different ways. A unique book that brings together `gems` of wisdom from the authors experience, a biopsychsocial and spiritual perspective of caring for our loved ones. A true gift for carers!" I bought this book to help a colleague with her own personal struggles when caring for a loved one. As a manager I have found this book to be inspirational and offers some very good advice on ways of dealing with issues faced by my colleagues. It not only associates with caring and helping others but it also helped me with personal struggles which I faced. I would recommend this book to managers and individuals alike.
