Dr. Noteh Glogauer becomes a Chaplain in the Royal Canadian Air Force
Dr. Noteh Glogauer, who had become a school principal at the young age of 29, has now achieved another landmark by becoming a Chaplain, with the rank of Captain in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Author of an inspirational book, Never Give Up - A Journey from Class Clown to School Principal, attained this award on 29th November 2017.
Captain (Rabbi) Glogauer is eager to embark on his new adventure, as a full-time Air Force Chaplain, posted to the 17 Wing in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He will join his wing in January 2018.
Expressing his happiness and gratitude at the occasion of formal Attesting Ceremony held at the Canadian Armed Forces Recruiting Centre in Toronto, he said that “I have been fortunate to have had experience in many diverse settings and am excited to meet different people of varying backgrounds and engage them in an environment of mutual respect and tolerance.”
Talking about his book, Never Give Up - A Journey from Class Clown to School Principal, which is actually a memoir of the first thirty years of his life, he pens his family’s struggles from one continent to another. Glogauer was born in South Africa in a Jewish family, which had to immigrate to Canada due to the oppression faced there.
His journey of becoming a Principal began from the realization of promoting his own ideas on education, nurturing individuality, innovation, cooperation and sharing. The journey wasn’t an easy one but he surpassed all expectations and became an inspiration for the immigrants.
