Closing Gala of Joshua Butler’s Book Launch Event

After a two-week spectacle, the closing gala is the best way to end the book launch event on a high note. Therefore, Joshua Butler’s book launch event will conclude with a closing gala on the 27th of May 2021 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. The closing gala will take place at Berkelouw Leichhardt Bookstore, 70 Norton Street, Leichhardt, NSW 2040. Roo Burra is a new release by Joshua Butler, and it narrates a beautiful story of an incredible bond between a high-flying bird and a kangaroo. The book is destined to be loved by the young and the young at heart. Joshua Butler is one of Saatchi Art’s emerging artists, having had countless shows, exhibitions, and commissions over the years. Author Nanny Sue is Hosting Her Book Launch and Signing Event

We are delighted to announce that one of our favourite children’s authors, Nanny Sue, will be holding a book launch and signing event of Jack, The Pirate with a Secret. You can attend this event at Heath House Farm Garden and Gift Shop. The event will start at 10:30 am and continue till 2:00 pm on Saturday, 22nd May 2021. Jack, The Pirate with a Secret is an illustrated book for children aged 4 to 8. It tells an action-packed story of a young boy named Jack who has a secret. He is a charming and courageous pirate who loves to lead and steer his ship, The Mucky Duck. His courage is a source of inspiration for his crew who look up to him for assistance. Children will love to read it as they will constantly think about the secret Jack is hiding. There is a twist at the end that makes the book an enjoyable read. The children can use Jack’s story for finding their strengths and talk about them. Susan Brunt (Nanny Sue) is a retired primary school teacher. Throughout her career as a teacher, she has influenced many students to develop a liking for reading books and stories. She travels often and drives her inspiration for writing from these travelling experiences.

Author Portia Stanton-Noble’s Book Launch at Hotel Central Riverton

Austin Macauley’s famous author, Portia Stanton-Noble, is holding a book launch event for her crime book, The Big Dead Dry. The event will be held at Hotel Central Riverton on June 19th 2021, Saturday, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The author will be present at the venue to sign copies of her book and talk about it with the attendees. Entertainment will be provided by the famous Flavella L’Amour, the Serpent Dancer. So don’t forget to mark your calendars to meet your favourite author at her book launch event.    The Big Dead Dry tells us the story of a small town named Brumby Flat in Southern Australia. The town comes to the world’s notice when there occur several murders and accidental deaths. With a wide mix of residents in the town, it has become a tough task to identify the suspected killer. Born to Estonian parents who migrated to Australia after World War II, Portia had an interest in writing from a young age. Paul Spelzini is all set to host the CCIF Photo Exhibition

Paul Spelzini, the author of @#1crush and My Wonderful Fran, will be attending the Abbey Line Community Rail fun day, scheduled for Friday, 2nd July 2021, between 11 pm to 3 pm at Bricket Wood Parish Centre. The author will also be hosting a CCIF photo exhibition at the event. The entry to this explosive event is free of cost, but there are limited tickets due to COVID restrictions. Both of Paul Spelzini’s books revolve around the sensitive subject of mental health. @#1crush is about mental health and drug abuse, covering issues that many young people are facing in the world today. Whereas, My Wonderful Fran is an autobiography of the author daughter who committed suicide following a battle with mental illness. Paul Spelzini is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and Building Engineer. He has been married for 31 years, having raised three children. Paul is also a voluntary station adopter with the Abbey Line Community rail partnership since its inception in 2005. Paul Spelzini’s books, My Wonderful Fran and @#1crush, will be available for sale at the event. You can also buy these books on the Austin Macauley Publisher website.

Susan Brunt Gears Up for a Story Telling Session at the Cheadle Community Library

Susan Brunt (Nanny Sue) is excited for the storytelling session of her book, Jack the Pirate With A Secret, coming up at the Cheadle Community Library. The reading session will be held on Saturday, 14th August from 10.30 AM to 11.30 AM. The reading session promises to be a fun-filled and exciting event for children and parents alike. You wouldn't want to miss this super-event!   Jack the Pirate With a Secret is a beautifully illustrated book about Jack, a charming and brave pirate who steers the ship. When a storm comes at the sea, everyone looks up to Jack for inspiration. But Jack has a secret of his own! So, get ready for this fun-filled adventure with Jack that will keep you hooked and thinking about Jack’s secret.   Susan Brunt (Nanny Sue) is a retired Primary School Teacher and always had a fascination for books and stories. Therefore, she ended up teaching so many children to love books. Her journey across the sea, coming head-to-head with a storm, became an inspiration for her children's book. She lives in Staffordshire Moorlands.

Author Lena Shah Will Appear at the Chiswick Book Festival

Chiswick Book Festival is taking place from 9th-15th September this year. As exciting as it gets, our amazing author Lena Shah will also mark her presence as a speaker alongside 20 other authors. She will be speaking at the prior Waterstones Local Authors Party on Tuesday, 7th September at Boston Room, George IV. The timings for this gathering are 7 pm-9 pm. Every author will have a designated time to speak about their books. You can find out further details of the event here.   Impetus is the title of Lena’s poetry and prose of which she will be speaking at the event. The book has certain elements of a memoir as well. It contains both poetic verses and prosaic narration. Not just that, this inspiring title is also decorated with illustrations and quotes by the big names of the world of poetry which Lena has included as a tribute.   Apart from being a writer and a poet, Lena Shah is also a yoga and language teacher. She was born in Yorkshire and has Indian origins. Her purpose is to guide others to enlightened paths through a unique coaching style.

Nigel Gann’s Book Launch to Happen at St Mary’s in Lichfield

Nigel Gann’s book launch event is set to take place on 3rd September at The Hub at St Mary’s, Lichfield. The timings for this event are 6 pm-8 pm. This launch is for Nigel’s book called ‘The Great Education Robbery.’ If you are around, do not miss out on this event since it’s an opportunity to meet the honourable winner of the National Teaching Award in 2007. Yes, Nigel Gann has won this award for his applaudable work in the education sector of England.   The Great Education Robbery sums up Nigel’s analysis on the control of the business and political elite over the schools which were established as a community service on community levels. Not just he presents the problem but also prescribes the solution. His book make an important read and is an extraction of Nigel Gann’s nationwide experience in teaching not just students but also training teachers and adults. He is now a consultant and designs programs for BBC TV and Radio as well.

Discover the Minibeasts in Your Garden with Denise Popat in the Book Signing Event at Bulwell

Get ready Nottingham! Denise Popat is coming with an exciting event you can attend with your kids and family at Austin Street, Bulwell. This is going to be a book signing and storytelling gathering on August 16th from 11 am-2 pm. Make sure to put a reminder to head towards Bulwell Forest Garden on Monday and do not forget to take the kids along. Denise will be reading from her book called ‘Magnificent, Marvellous Minibeasts.’   Magnificent, Marvellous Minibeasts is a children’s read written in an easy manner that the early learners can read for themselves. It is also just as perfect for parents to read to their children. The book takes us into the marvellous world of minibeasts residing in the gardens. The author writes about all the varieties that can be found and also weaves an interesting line of conversation among the creatures.   Denise Popat is a grandmother now and has worked as a nursery and special needs teacher. She likes to create and write stories for children. As the first series of books, she has chosen the theme of minibeast and hopes that schools can also benefit from this series.
