Author John D. Rowbottom Invited to the Eventbrite’s Talk Show

Our talented author, John D. Rowbottom, has been invited to the Eventbrite’s talk show, Words From North Lincolnshire: Local Writers Share Their Work. He will talk about his writing journey and his wonderful autobiography, Adventures of a Cold-War Warrior! The event will be held at Scunthorpe Central, Carlton Street, Scunthorpe, DN15 6TX, United Kingdom, on Saturday, 6 November 2021, from 13:00 – 15:30 GMT. Helen Dymond to Host a Book Launch at The Church of St Annes and St Andrew

Mark your calendar for the 30th November. Helen Dymond, the author of Finding Handel, will be having a book launch event in her neighbourhood. The venue is The Church of St Annes and St Andrew at Salusbury Road, in Queens Park. The timings of this event are 2 PM to 4:30 PM.   Finding Handel is a modern-contemporary tale that takes a look into the life of Handel as a sixty-five-year-old man who is on a journey through Holland. By a stroke of bad luck, he gets injured in a bad road accident. He is rescued by the most intriguing couple, watching them deal with their lives and still going on day by day. Handel goes through an emotional and inner journey of self-realisation that makes him think about the life that he has lived. He questions many things that he has never done before.   Helen Dymond has been an educator for forty years. She has been teaching English language and humanities. Helen has a great fondness for the work of Handel. She has sung in the Hadel Opera Chorus in the 1980s. She has put forward research for the Channel 4 Film, starring Simon Callow.

We view life and experiences from the eyes of the crew and members of the challenger. Get your copy here.   Phillip Pearson has spent his life near the view of the sea at Brighton. He is well-versed and passionate about his education. In college, he indulged in geography, which aided him in his interest in the environment and its issues. He has been fascinated by the story of the challenging voyage and its accomplishments. He had the idea of writing a narrative of the life on the challenger, from the view of his grandfather while he was in a creative writing class at Mary Ward Centre in London. The narrative is based on numerous stories and sea shanties.

A story about the psychological health and mental abuse a woman suffered in the past yet she finds the courage and escapes to live a life that she knows now.   Jayne Lisbeth grew up in Long Island. Her life has taken her to different areas like California, Vermont and Massachusetts. She currently resides in Tampa, Florida, with her husband. She finds great joy in writing about the evolution of women's lives.

Our talented author Helen Dymond will attend her book launch event for her book, Finding Handel. The book launch will be held at The Rotunda, Church of St Anne and St Andrew Salusbury Road, Queens Park. The event will start on Sunday 12 December, from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.   Finding Handel is the story about sixty-five-year-old Handel, whose journey through Holland is interrupted by a road accident. The novel takes us right away from the usual stereotypes of Handel as a haughty courtier or a comical foreigner and into the mind of an intensely private and passionate man whose unique musical gifts are enjoyed more widely today than ever before.   Helen Dymond’s fascination with Handel started in the 1980s when she sang in the Handel Opera Chorus. For forty years, she was mainly occupied in teaching English and lecturing in Humanities; her final post was at the City Lit, London, teaching Handel’s Operas and Oratorios and Psychology of Religion.
