Beechwood Primary School in Runcorn is hosting an event where Simon Adepetun, the Author of ‘The Bee Hive’ is invited. He will interact with congregated young students and initiate a discussion regarding his book and hopefully inspire them for healthier reading habits. ‘The Bee Hive’ is a children’s book full of adventure and fun. It is the story of eleven-year-old Daniel and his new friend Benji. Daniel’s life was standard and very uneventful until his new friend Benji presented him with an exciting discovery, a beehive that can transform into a den. Everything becomes thrilling and confusing when two strange men come into the play. Also, Daniel has a doll-obsessed sister who is very nosy and annoying. Simon Adepetun is a loving husband and a proud father of three adorable children. He graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in English Studies and a Postgraduate certificate in Theatre Studies. Simon is a full-time employee as a Sales manager but spending quality time with his family is always his priority.
‘The Final Fence: Sophomores in The Saddle’ by Marc O'Brien will be the topic of discussion in the podcast. Nearly thirty minutes worth of information will be distributed about the book. ‘The Final Fence: Sophomores in The Saddle’ is an interesting story of five college students who share a passion for horses. The message in the book is trying to convey that the journey of race and learnings are of more value than the winning itself or the winner’s prize. The plot will make you ponder about the strengths of labels awarded by the society and subjectivity or objectivity of disability. Marc O’Brien graduated from Barry University with a degree in Communication Arts in 1988 and resolved to apply his learnings in a non-conventional way. Helen Frindle is excited to invite you on the public launch event of her Sci-fi book ‘The Sentient Shield’. She will introduce her book and interact with the audience. The author will also present the copies of her book for sale. ‘The Sentient Shield’ is a sci-fi book with the main plot focused on an astronomical event known as Alignment. At a specific time and point, planet Earth and the Universe of which it is a part evolves and ascend to a higher dimension. The Earth plays a major role in the occurrence of the event which is greatly dependent on spiritual awakening of the population of planet Earth. The author of this book Helen Frindle was always interested in alternative theories of human spiritual evolution. In 2005, she relocated to South West France and there she discovered the history of the local region which rekindled her interests and led her to write this book
Samantha Downes is invited by BBC Radio Northampton for an interview about her children’s book ‘Ginny The Ghost’. She will talk about her inspiration for writing the book and getting published. She will also answer some interesting questions about herself so do not forget to tune in. ‘Ginny The Ghost’ is an interesting children story about how even ghosts can have their own fears and its okay to be afraid sometimes and it takes courage for anyone to overcome their fears. Ginny is a ghost who adores her friend, a dog named Milo. When milo goes missing she has to brave up and face her fears to find her only friend. Samantha Downes is a British born author with a passion for music, working with children, reading and now writing. She was a keen reader even as a young child and as she grew up she discovered she enjoyed working with young children. This provided her base for her becoming a children’s book author.

Abbeywood Community School has invited David R. Lord, the author of ‘The Figment Wars’ sequel, for a full day event on World Book Day. The event will start with a workshop for students of grade 7 to 10 in the morning assembly, later he will be giving an interview for their school newsletter and sign the copies his book. ‘The Figment Wars: Through the Portals’ is a children adventure story where Thomas, his brother Isaac and their smart cousin Emily find themselves trapped in the Realm of Imagination full of strange animals.
