Christine Johnson will attend a book reading event at Garners Garden Centre. The author of ‘Max, Mouse and The Doll’s House’ will talk about the book and do a short reading. ‘Max, Mouse and The Doll’s House’ tells the story of Max. He loves to play with the dollhouse at his Nani’s house. What he doesn’t know is that the dollhouse comes to life. Max goes through the dollhouse and finds himself in a jungle with a chimpanzee, who needs Max’s help to find his lost family. He befriends many creatures on this adventure and dodges dangers in the jungle. They must find their new friend’s family and find their way back home. Christine Johnson was born in Staffordshire. She has a daughter and two grandchildren who truly adore her magical stories.

Max and the Mouse agree to help him in finding his family. Christine Johnson was born in Staffordshire. She was raised in an Anglo Irish family and attended Catholic Convent and Grammar School. She graduated in B.A Honors in Business Studies.
Author of the book, ‘We were Tourists’, Jim Toomey will be going to Land & Sea Noosa Brewing Company, Noosaville for his book launching ceremony. The place will be filled with local folks where Jim will discuss his book and the inspiration behind it. This book is a memoir of a drummer who saw the world and was part of a successful band in the late seventies. ‘The Tourists’ was the name of the band which discovered their music and voice in early times and was appreciated by many around the world. This is a story of the band’s journey and an insight in their work told by the man sitting behind the drums. There is a fun side of this job but the work, creativity and the pressure of seemingly endless work are all the trajectories of this band. The author, Jim Toomey is living in Brisbane after spending most of his life in traveling. He still plays in occasional gigs in jazz and has recently turned to writing.
The Land and Sea Brewery at Noosaville will be hosting a book launch ceremony for ‘We were Tourists’. The author, Jim Toomey, will be present at the event to promote his book. He was among the founding members of the musical group as they crafted their way to amazing heights of success. Jim Toomey is living in Brisbane after spending a life full of travel. He still plays gigs in a jazz and blues trio. He has recently turned towards writing and acting.

This is a Children’s book which narrates six different stories. The author presents a ‘bird-eye view’ of the stories. Each of the story is set at author’s favorite locations in Great Britain. These places include Arran, Coniston, Liverpool, York, Sheffield and London. She likes to help children through her stories and inspires them to overcome their life difficulties and to become the best version of themselves. She wants the children to make them self-dependable so that they make the right choices in their lives just as the characters do in the book. This is a lovely read for the kids and parents, grandparents and teachers will love sharing them too. The author, Sue Ellis has been working in the field of education for the past 30 years. She has a wide range of experience in dealing with kids’ problems and bringing the best in them.
Diana Sare, author of ‘Randy The Runaway Raccoon’ will be visiting Chapters Book Store at Thunder Bay for the book signing event of her book. The author will be there for the book promotion. There she will sign the purchased copies of the book. The book is about a young raccoon, Randy who grew up in the city and was nurtured there. He was not fond of the wild and when he is exposed to the wildlife, he gets scared but sooner he finds his way through it. Experiencing many adventures which involve ghosts, unknown animals and people in the foreign environment, he discovers his true nature. This book is full of fun about the experiences of a naive raccoon and a lot of interesting facts about him. The author, Diana Sare has experienced a very adventurous life. She settles in the wilds of Canada for summers and in the remote areas of Panama for winters. She spends her time in gardening, painting and traveling with her husband, Robin.

The book’s story is about a victim of brain injury and how he recovered from it. Ben’s life changed completely when he experienced a road accident that placed his life in great danger. Despite all difficulties, Ben survived and made his way through life after a traumatic brain injury. Ben kept himself busy with life without caring for the limitations and obstacles faced by him due to his accident. Ben got married and had a daughter and it was after that when he asked for help. Ben recovered slowly but another life-changing event put a further strain on his recovery. The author, Bex Thexton is an accountant by profession. He is married and has a young child. He likes to read and to spend time with his family. This is his first book up to the date.
