Author of the book ‘The Final Footprint’, David McCaddon, will be at U31 Oswestry for his book launch ceremony in November. McCaddon will speak to U3A members about his book and the inspiration behind the story. The book details the story of a cybercriminal named Tim Ridgway, who is on the run, having made a daring escape from HMP Dinas Bay in North Wales. The force, however, has enough on their plate, investigating a new spate of Ransom-ware attacks, which are now threatening the very existence of their own and other organisations. In the meantime, investigative agencies worldwide are watching with interest the introduction of a new Big Brother crime detection programme known as ‘Project Watchman’, which is due to be unveiled in Australia. David McCaddon is an IT systems consultant who has worked in computing for over 46 years and has spent the past 34 years specialising in Law Enforcement Computer Systems Development.

She likes to hike and her work clearly reflects the strength and dignity of her people who suffered a lot from Wars in the past.

Christine Johnson will attend a book reading event at Garners Garden Centre. The author of ‘Max, Mouse and The Doll’s House’ will talk about the book and do a short reading. ‘Max, Mouse and The Doll’s House’ tells the story of Max. He loves to play with the dollhouse at his Nani’s house. What he doesn’t know is that the dollhouse comes to life. Max goes through the dollhouse and finds himself in a jungle with a chimpanzee, who needs Max’s help to find his lost family. He befriends many creatures on this adventure and dodges dangers in the jungle. They must find their new friend’s family and find their way back home. Christine Johnson was born in Staffordshire. She has a daughter and two grandchildren who truly adore her magical stories.

But he had no idea that when he goes to sleep, the dollhouse comes to life. Max comes to know about the cellar door of the dollhouse which leads to a jungle where he meets Charlie, a chimpanzee, who has lost his family at a tea party. Max and the Mouse agree to help him in finding his family. Christine Johnson was born in Staffordshire. She was raised in an Anglo Irish family and attended Catholic Convent and Grammar School. She graduated in B.A Honors in Business Studies.
Author of the book, ‘We were Tourists’, Jim Toomey will be going to Land & Sea Noosa Brewing Company, Noosaville for his book launching ceremony. The place will be filled with local folks where Jim will discuss his book and the inspiration behind it. This book is a memoir of a drummer who saw the world and was part of a successful band in the late seventies. ‘The Tourists’ was the name of the band which discovered their music and voice in early times and was appreciated by many around the world. This is a story of the band’s journey and an insight in their work told by the man sitting behind the drums. There is a fun side of this job but the work, creativity and the pressure of seemingly endless work are all the trajectories of this band. The author, Jim Toomey is living in Brisbane after spending most of his life in traveling. He still plays in occasional gigs in jazz and has recently turned to writing.
