Gerry Cummins
Gerry Cummins has a guilty passion for words. A lover of children’s stories, her mother and Nana would share Irish folk tales which passed through to stories with her children. A primary school teacher responsible for English, she was often frustrated that teaching is weighed down by technicalities, even though her classes were used to her spinning off, to liven a subject! Hence her creation of Welcome to Gramtown.
Gerry now lives by the Ashdown Forest with her husband and Pegscat. She feels fortunate to have four fabulous children, some sharing her passion with their little ones. Free time now offers opportunities to write, draw, walk, swim, create and of course time spent in worlds elsewhere – reading.
