Dymphna Baird

Dymphna Baird is originally from Crossgar, Northern Ireland. She left in the ’70s to train as a primary school teacher in Newcastle upon Tyne.


Throughout her teaching career, she has taught in South Ockendon; Waltham Cross; Hertfordshire; Enfield; and an elementary school in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. She presently lives in Southgate, North London. She is married and has three sons, a twenty-five-year-old and twenty-four-year-old twins. After the birth of her children, she had a career break. When she returned to teaching, she became a qualified mentor and completed a degree in Psychology.
