Jonathon Fairall is a journalist and author. His interests include science, technology and history and the interplay between them. His particular interests are in cartography and the story maps tell. For many years, Jonathon was the editor of a major mapping magazine. He is passionate about sailing and bush walking, and is an avid amateur astronomer. Jonathon lives in Sydney with his wife.
