Ivor George Burns

Ivor George Burns was raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland and educated at Harding Memorial Church of Ireland Primary School and Orangefield Boys Secondary School. His best subject was History and he had the good fortune to have been taught by Jonathan Bardon who later became a very well known author in his own right.

The author has worked in Short Brothers Bombardier, aircraft factory and various positions in the Civil Service.

Ivor has written up a short history of his family tree back to the early 1800s. He likes to travel in Spain, country walks and the theatre. In music he likes Mozart, Vivaldi and Van Morrison who is a famous Orangefield old boy.

Ivor is currently 67 years old, unmarried, with no children. He retired in June 2016 after 48 years in public life.
