Mabule Zachariah Rapola

Mabule Zachariah Rapola is a South African, poet, writer and filmmaker. His short stories and poems have appeared in South Africa, France, Denmark and the USA. He has also published literature for young adults: Stanza youth novel series. For his collection of stories, Beginnings of a Dream, he won the Noma Award in 2008. A fellow of the International Writers’ Program, University of Iowa, USA, is a two-time finalist in national poetry competitions in South Africa. His most recent publication is The Passport That Does Not Pass Ports: African Literature of Travel in the 21st Century.
