Sylvia Lerch

Australian author Sylvia Lerch has enjoyed a wealth of valuable life-experience in a variety of places, including teaching young children on a small island in the Central Pacific, and the adventure of living aboard a sailing catamaran. Her work-history includes owning a busy shop and restaurant on the east coast of Australia, teaching adults at a school inside a remote prison in north-western Australia, and volunteering as an ambulance officer in a country district. Her own personal story encompasses marriage, motherhood and bereavement. Primarily a contented homemaker, Sylvia’s curiosity about history and literature instilled in her, as a schoolchild, has never waned. The youngest of a frugal Christian family of seven and born in Australia during the Second World War, Sylvia still calls Australia home.
