SPOOKY STORIES FOR KIDS THIS HALLOWEEN

Spooky season is finally here! With the run up to Halloween, it’s the perfect time for children to read some spooky stories to get them in the mood for trick or treating. We recommend any of the below spooky stories:

The Around the Corner Man

Playing outside is lots of fun… until a poor decision teaches you that it’s not. The Around the Corner Man lurks just outside of the safe perimeter. He lies in wait, eager to prey on those who don’t stay by their parents’ side. When Fran goes outside, he’s ready for an adventure, but when he ventures off on his own, he discovers what happens when children disobey the rules. Soon, he’s whisked off to a place far, far away from his family and the playground. Follow young Fran’s adventure as he navigates a fine line between the safe confines of life with Mum, Dad, and grandparents, and ends up somewhere he could have never imagined was true in this fun, informative children’s picture book!

Great, heartfelt, inspiring, strong, caring and magical story. It is a book for all the little and big pumpkins out there to be their own individual pumpkin. Will fast become a family and classroom favourite.

This tale is a heartwarming story of a boy with a dream. The boy, Mika, has aspirations to become a great magician and he is told how to make that wish possible. When the time comes to make that wish though, he feels another needs the wish more than he does. What a nice story and a good lesson to teach children to think of others before yourself.

This short story will scare the kids like nothing else. No, there aren’t any monsters inside, but a strange land called SmithTopia. The Phantom Sock Eater

Have you ever woken up in the morning to find that your socks have gone missing? You’ve searched high and low for them, only to wonder if The Phantom Sock Eater has taken them. Maybe he’s eaten them or maybe you just haven’t looked hard enough for your socks.

You could make a fiendish plan to catch him if you can, but you would have to stay awake, and that might be difficult especially if you are tired. Maybe trust your kitty cat to protect your socks, and he will keep a watchful eye as he looks towards the moonlit sky. So when you go to bed, make sure that your socks are safely put away in the sock drawer, and sleep well because you never know when the hungry phantom will come a-calling.
