Have you ever wondered if the pirates in your dreams,

Are really all that big? Really all that mean?

What if there was a secret? A passcode you could roar,

That would shrink these scary scallywags, till they were feared no more!

Yo ho, climb aboard, me hearties, as we set sail and discover the decades-old secret that will keep you safe from the one-eyed pirates who sail the open seas as you sleep.

For, the passcode be yours to find, the passcode be yours to keep!”

Savvy?

Growing up wild and free on the sandy shores of Western Australia, K S D’arcy has always had a fond love for writing and poetry. “I have always loved to write. I use this natural-born talent to channel the emotions and energy around me, to touch, communicate, inspire and to breathe life into simple, yet delicately chosen words.”

A free-spirited artist with a passion for life, K S D’arcy is an intuitive writer who strongly feels the need to inspire depth, emotion and strength within her writing, a gift she now uses to gently touch the lives and hearts of many children all around the world. These are the very same children who she hopes will feel loved and inspired to make this world a better place. “I don’t have the power to change the world, but I have the magic to inspire the heart of the child who will.”

    A Bite-Sized Pirate by K.S D’arcy is a simply beautiful book for the under-fives.
The story is written in simple rhyme with just four lines per double page. There is a rhythm to the words, enabling our children to join in when they have heard them a few times.
Each page is beautifully illustrated by Zenja Gammer. A friendly looking parrot is the subject of each illustration. His big, beautiful eyes draw the reader in. We learn that he visits us in our dreams. As he watches over us, we feel safe.
Every illustration and verse can be a starting point for discussion with our children.
I always love K.S. D’arcy’s children’s books. They are always so beautiful. Every home with young children should invest in her books. They are beautiful heirlooms.
I received a free copy from the publishers. A favourable review was not required. All opinions are my own.

This children's picture book is absolutely charming. With realistic pictures
This is a story of pirates who with the right passcode they shrink enough to fit in your pocket. My daughter loved this one a lot.
She gave it 10 pieces of gold out of 5.
She now wants to meet a pirate so she can put him in her pocket and take his pirate ship then wear a tiara.
