Sally and Ralph Armstrong, along with their expanding family, move into a beautifully restored Georgian dower house just outside York. But as they settle in, they uncover long-buried secrets that link their new home to pivotal moments in England’s history.

J. M. Gidman is a retired librarian who was born in Yorkshire but has lived in Lancashire for many years. Her love of reading and history has led her to write books and articles on historical subjects. A member of local history societies, she has given talks on her subjects of interest. Her first novel A Question of Identity was the start of her most recent career. A second novel A Question of Authenticity followed, and this third novel, A Question of Location, carries the story of Sally and Ralph forward.
