Barbara Wilton lives on a rural property in Masterton, in the North Island of Aotearoa New Zealand. She is a retired tertiary education teacher, and also worked as a SPELD teacher, helping rural students with learning difficulties. Barbara and her husband have two adult children and two grandchildren. They share their home with a black and white cat called Pied Piper and four goldfish, as well as having sheep and cattle to take care of.
