So well written, and what a story! I couldn’t put it down. I hope there’s more to come.
I loved this well-written book. The characters became part of my consciousness and I just wanted it to continue on. I was really invested in each individual. It brought to me a time I’d not experienced myself, a time my parents spoke of fondly - the post war era in Australia. I thought the writer did a fabulous job and I’d like to read more of her work but haven’t been able to find any others books. I hope she is still writing and I look forward to reading more if she is.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read. The author’s easy writing style pulls you in from the first chapter with her detailed description of both characters and locations. I very easily imagined myself swimming in that waterhole in Crystal Cascades and walking those streets in St Marys. Ostenfeld manages to immerse you in the story so you feel you are an extra character. I believe this book could easily be adapted for the screen. I’ll be keeping a watch for more from this author.
I loved reading this book. Full of intriguing characters truly transporting me to another time. Did not want this well written storey to end. I hope there’s more to come from this author.
Really great book. Told in a way that makes you feel like you’re right in the middle of the story. Very real. Easy to read.
Have already done so
Another Time - A wonderful read. Raw, honest and so very real. An easy read which becomes more and more compelling as the story continues. Written with great Aussie flair about love, hope, families and ambitions in the aftermath of war.
I couldn't put this book down!! I fell in love with the characters and couldn't wait to see how things worked out for them. The setting for the book was informative, as I imagined my own grandparents and their experiences during that historical time. A really great read! I look forward to this Author's next book! Keep your eye on this one! :)
