Terror, heartbreak, deceit, rape, tragedy, despair and finding the will to survive. These are the driving forces in the lives of three very different women. Shelly is a talented young artist, attending school, and dreaming of a future career and a life with the man she is dating. Lynne, a mobility instructor at a school for blind children, is building a family with her husband and young son. Lora, a human resources professional, is living a magical life of travel, theatre, sailing, and great restaurants with the husband she loves. And then a new reality descends upon each of them. Will these three women take steps to move towards their tomorrows? Will Shelly find a way to rescue herself by changing the game from his to hers without his knowledge? Will Lynne provide the necessary care for a 3-pound baby on 7 different medications due to severely compromised lungs? Will Lora accept that her amazingly wonderful marriage has been a hoax and find a way to define a new existence for herself? Continued captivity, the breakdown of a family, and the choice to end a life could be the consequences of failure. Their stories cross time, entwine with other lives, and ultimately converge at a pivotal moment in each of their lives.

This is a wonderfully written book about 3 women's separate journeys through suffering, tragedy and heartbreak. I couldn't wait to read this book and then couldn't put it down until I read their entire stories which ended in a wonderful outcome when the 3 women brought their "bundles" of joy home from China. Throughout their stories, it made you feel like you were there with them wanting to give them your help, support and condolences. Congratulations to Ruth (my wonderful sister), Mary Lynne and Sheri for the courage to write their stories. After their long journeys, the 3 women and their "bundles" are now lifelong family/friends. I can't wait to see their sequel.

  • I couldn't put this book down! Cheryl N.

An extremely powerful novel that I couldn't put down. I knew Lynne when she was going through this heartbreaking journey and I still felt compelled to keep on reading her story. All three women are heroes and demonstrate strength and determination to overcome their tragedies.

I found this book hard to put down. Three challenging pathways that lead to adoption, these courageous women opened up about the struggles that brought them to commiting to the uncharted territory of international adoption. Discovering that they were enjoying their daughters was a real blessing to me.

As a person who does not read many novels, this book was fascinating. I liked the format used, making it an easy read and not too long. It reminds me of a limited episode drama series that moves just fast enough to not get boring. The characters were very relatable, and the details given (more than expected) gave me a great insight to each character's state of mind during their experience.

I loved Bundles! It was like reading a mystery thriller made for TV movie. The book was written into nice easy read chapters so I could take it on the go. Heartwarming - what a wonderful book!

Like so many of the other reviewers I also share a connection with Sheri and her Bundle. Our Life Journeys can be so very different but when you have a strong faith and the strong desire to go with it success will follow as these three amazing women and their families have shown. You find yourself feeling all of the strong emotions as though you yourself were going thru these lives. Sorrow, anger and the strength these women have shown tells us how their determination to have a life and the family they wanted become a reality. These emotions along with their stories I know will be passed along to their Bundles and also to fortify how much love they had and how the desire to have a family came to be. My Hat is Off to these Amazing women and their Bundles.

A friend suggested I read this book and I'm so happy I did. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. This book follows the true experiences of 3 women who encompassed the strength to overcome challenging events in their lives. The women were then brought together by fate and purpose as they began their next journey to adopt their "bundles" from China. The detailed, heartfelt, writing was excellent, and the emotion felt by the characters was palpable. An emotional and an excellent read. I highly recommend this book.
