I absolutely loved this book! Wendy's style of writing vividly brings the characters to life and her description of the scenery and settings conjured up fabulous pictures in my imagination. Although it has elements of Harry Potter - intrigue, adventure, magic and mystery - it has its own unique charm and I was enthralled from beginning to end. Please let there be a follow-up!
I heard about this book from an author I am following on Facebook so unthought I'd give it a read. All I can say about this book is that it is simply AMAZING. It is simply one of the best YA books I have read in a very long time.
A beautifully written and crafted book filled with magic, mystery and adventure, I also found that Claudia was an exceptional role model for youngsters to follow, I felt very privileged to have had the chance to read this book as I could simply not put it down and read it within one sitting which is usually hard for me as I work split shifts on a dairy farm.
