Crop Fairies

In the depths of the forest, deep into the grounds,
There’s a magical kingdom, that should never be found.
They help the plants, the leaves on the trees,
The nature all around you, the birds and the bees.
The crop fairies, each have their go,
To nurture, protect and help our food grow.
The Strawberry Fairy, works hard and quick,
To make sure the strawberries, are ready to pick.
The fairies work together, to get their jobs done,
So we can all enjoy strawberries, in the summer sun.

L J Kinnell is a new writer targeting the children’s book market. She is the mother to two adopted sons who both had fussy eating habits, self-esteem and anxiety struggles. Since adopting the siblings in 2015, she began telling bedtime stories to try and promote healthy eating and confidence to the children through rhyme. The Crop Fairy stories were a success, planting their own vegetables and imagining fairy characters nurturing each crop along with an adventure story. These stories were written to promote understanding of the growth and harvest of fruit and vegetables in a fun, child-friendly way. L J Kinnell has decided to share her stories now her sons are no longer seedlings.
