He's dangling from the rooftop of a Birmingham department store. He's wedged inside a baby's pram, floating down a canal. He's being chased half-naked down Dudley High Street. It can only mean one thing. BISSKIT IS BACK. It's 1969 and Dudley's premier private investigators, Bisskit and Blackshaw, are at the top of their game. After they foil a gang of shoplifters and save Christmas for the children of Birmingham, their fame spreads far and wide. Lady Ophelia Babbington-Perch hires them to safeguard her Crufts dog show favourite, Bertie. It all seems straightforward enough, but is there more to it? What if it all went wrong? Could this be the end of the road for Dennis Bisskit and Stinky Blackshaw?

The third book in the series and I've loved them all. It's a difficult call but this could be my favourite, maybe because I love dogs. A large chunk of the book takes place at Crufts Dog Show in 1970, where our heroes, Dennis And Stinky have been hired to babysit the dog show favourite, Bertie the Basset Hound. As in the previous book, the crime element is very exciting and well written. But as usual, this book is hilarious. The early section where the boys are working undercover at Lewis's department store in Birmingham had me in tears of laughter. Highly recommend the entire series.

Another cracker of a book Steve, read in just three sessions. Keep churning away at that keyboard, so we don't have to wait too long for the next enthralling episode of Dennis's life!

I was kindly sent a copy of this book by the author, Stephen Ainley, in exchange for an honest review.

What can I say, the boys are certainly back in town and, they're as comical as ever! This is the third Dennis Bisskit book and if you were fans of the first two you'll certainly love this one as well!

It's packed full of the usual Dennis and Stinky shenanigans that leave you questioning how they ever get a positive outcome as the odds always seem to be stacked against them but, in true Bisskit style, you're kept guessing till the very end!

As with the other two in the trilogy, this can be enjoyed as a stand-alone book however, I feel, for maximum enjoyment, you would benefit from reading the others first.

Along with the other Dennis Bisskit books, I believe they would make an exceptionally good TV series that could be enjoyed around the world!

I would like to think this isn't the last I've read about Dennis and Stinky but, for now, I'll just have to wait and see.

I would recommend this book to anyone aged 10+
