Originally from County Durham Kirstie moved to the Isle of Man when she was a child and still lives there with her husband, two children, dog and cat. She works as a community nurse but spends much of her spare time thinking of stories and characters for her books. Her animals and family are a major inspiration for her and constantly fuel her with ideas for stories. The beautiful island she lives on also provides daily inspiration and she feels so lucky to live in such a beautiful place.
