This fun picture book encourages young children to join in with the repeated rhyme as they bounce through the woods searching for creatures.

Maureen Caskey was an early years teacher for 34 years. In the classroom she was passionate about inspiring young children to develop a love of books and encouraged them to become independent, motivated readers.

Having retired from teaching and moved out of London, Maureen now loves walking with her rescue dog (and her husband!) in the local woods in Hertfordshire. Down in the Woods was created during these walks. While Lolly the rescue dog searched for her ball, Maureen searched for faces in the trees!
