In the time of Cromwell’s rule, young and out-of-work Navy navigator, Charles ‘Soap’ Karma is tricked into joining the cunning and oftentimes comedic crew of the Blunderbuss, a pirate ship captained by John Dunsworthy, set to sail from England to Cuba.

Along the voyage, he quickly makes friends, enemies and a few in between, as he experiences the true highs and lows, that come with the life of a pirate.

Steven S. Beakhouse has been picking away at Hatrack over a 25-year period and sadly, in 2010, was diagnosed with Huntington’s disease, a devastating neurological disease, a rare and inherited disease that causes the progressive breakdown of the brain.

Despite his cognitive disabilities, during the COVID-19 pandemic, remarkably, Steven spent his isolation time in a long-term care facility and completed Hatrack. Steven is a loving father of three children, who are his true purpose in life, and is proud to add ‘Author’ to his life accomplishments.
