  Andy a fearsome boxer tells his story with frankness and honesty, a true fly on the wall gritty and sometimes heartbreaking read an inspirational story nonetheless, Andy describes his journey to sobriety finding his faith and how all the fights in his career were nothing compared to the biggest fight against alcoholism and addiction. I couldn't put this book down until I'd read it from cover to cover. Excellent!

  A gripping story of a boxer who struggled between professionalism and hedonism. During his career, Andy has beat, contended and stayed on his feet against some of the world's best fighters. His most formidable opponent though came in the form of alcohol, one which holds on and does not fight within the rules - Leaving Andy having to give the battle to a greater power.

  1st I would live to congratulate Andy on his amazing book I found it so interesting & inspirational & secondly I’m sure if he would have found Jesus earlier in his life he would have definitely been a world champion no doubt but that is the lesson of life god bless you.

  Andy Flutes book shows one that no matter what background one has, God is mindful of each adversity. Beyond doubt Roman’s 8:28 proves to anyone who has come out of darkness that God loves us that His word is true, and our whole life is one big coat of many colours being stitched together by the Masters hand.
  In his book “Jesus in my Corner” Andy chronicles his struggles to overcome alcohol and drug addiction. Despite a legacy of extreme violence, drug and alcohol addiction Andy the former Captain of the English Boxing Team and World Middleweight title challenger had a miraculous turnaround and found Jesus in his corner.
  Andy’s makes no apologies for his book which pulls no punches and is very gritty in its narrative.
  His book demonstrates that Jesus seeks to save those who are truly lost in darkness.

  A very candid read. Andy Flute depicts his struggle for success in the boxing world. Accompanied by drinking bouts, drug taking, violence away from the ring. He reached great heights in Boxing, could even invest in property and run his own pub as a freehouse. But then his triumph was eroded by alcoholism and drug use. The physical harm, the depression, the destruction of his family life leading to violence, are compelling reading. The combination of finding his new and supportive partner Angela and his growing Christian faith, along with help from Alcoholics Anonymous led to Andy battling alcoholism and wining.
  What is particularly endearing was that Andy didn't suddenly find all his issues miraculously vanishing once he attended church. But his faith slowly led him through his own underworld, with obstacles and setbacks on the way, to baptism.
  The book is obviously of interest to Christians and to Boxing fans. But also makes one consider our society' s values and what we regard as success. On the surface, Andy's life seemed like a lad's dream, winning tournaments, decent money, opportunities to binge drink and do pills and coke. But the price he paid nearly destroyed him. A valuable read.
