Katie's Secret

A young girl is given a unique object whilst out shopping with her Mum. She soon discovers that it has magic powers, and that it allows her to travel to many wondrous and magical lands!She has no way of knowing what she might encounter as she steps through magic doors into unknown lands where she has many adventures and meets lots of strange folk, from elves to witches. She helps where she can and makes many new friends. She also has some scary moments when she is only too glad to get back home safely to her bedroom.

Terry Sherwood was born in 1948 in London and spent most of his married life in Kent. He retired in 2013 and later moved with his wife to Hampshire.

He was inspired to write a story for children when his seven year old great-niece told him her secret about finding a tiny door in a cupboard through which she could reach a magic land.
