All his life, Malcolm Tutt wanted to be found. Now on the eve of turning fifty, he realised that sometimes life may never find you and if you wanted it bad enough, sometimes you would have to go and look for it yourself. The only problem was that he would have to die, if he wanted to live.

A young woman finds out that her husband is having an affair with her best friend. She decides to confront him, but before she does, she hatches a plan to catch them in the act of betrayal. As she gets closer and closer to discovering the truth about her husband, her anger towards them grows. Like a cheap paperback novel, her life begins to unravel until one night she commits a terrible act, and in the process, finds out what a scorned woman is truly capable of.

Leaving Behind is a collection of short stories that explores the lengths that people will go to when they are desperate, each with an unexpected twist.

Ravi Kulatunga was born in Sri Lanka and at the age of four, moved with his family to Central Africa where he spent an adventurous childhood travelling around the continent learning about different people and their rich cultures. He then moved to England for a short time and later migrated to Australia along with his parents and two siblings. He now lives with his wife and daughter in New Zealand, where he works as a business consultant. His family, as well as travelling and writing, take up most of his time now.

Gripping, thrilling, mysterious! I loved the ways in which the stories came together at the end, all with their own unexpected resolutions. Found myself unable to put the book down, lost in the gripping ways in which all the characters were depicted. It was especially interesting when your entire perspective on a character was changed at the end of the short story.

It is a gem of a book with each story ending in an unexpected twist. Thoroughly enjoyed this. Can't wait for the next installment.

    This book is incredible.
The writer approaches story telling with a novel take on tragic experiences which leave you guessing and craving more.
I felt gripped after the first chapter and couldn't put it down until I finished it.
There are parts which made me laugh unexpectedly and others which made me gasp.
Great read and couldn't recommend it higher.

I didn't see the first twist coming!
