Dieting does not work long-term because it only changes your body.

Changing eating habits works because it transforms your body and your brain.

I worked as a registered general nurse for 12 years in the NHS. Whilst nursing, I learnt how important nutrition is in helping people in recovery and rehabilitation from illness, disease or surgery.

My nursing experience motivated me to learn more about nutrition and human health. I then went onto study Nutrition and Dietetics at Kings College London University; qualifying as a Registered Dietitian (RD) in 2001. Since then, I have worked in hospitals with people who have diabetes and people with eating disorders. My jobs involved helping people understand how, when and what to eat to improve their health.

At fifty years of age, married with two sons, after thirty years of clinical experience, I now work as a freelance dietitian with a special interest in eating habits and behaviour change.
