Varsha is a South African Gryffindor living in the Netherlands with her Slytherin husband.
Varsha studied international relations in South Africa and, for reasons she still doesn’t fully understand, decided to pursue an MBA a few years later. She still has nightmares about that time in her life. She worked for a number of years in the publishing industry, but after moving to the Netherlands, she ended up working in another industry that she’s passionate about: food. She now works in communications for a food ingredients company.
A short middle grade fantasy that has surprisingly good twists and plenty of humour. Really enjoyed this little book. There is an eclectic mix of characters and magical beings, animated pumpkins and a water monster too, what more can you ask for! I think middle grade readers and younger teens will really like this book. The language is not very complex, the pacing is quite fast and there are quite a few characters and funny situations to keep them entertained throughout. Now, I am wondering if there's going to be a sequel...
Really cute and fun story
What a witty story and how nice, for me as a rabbit lover, that the main characters get to be saved by some long-eared friends. Overall a very nice read and I like how the modern world was brought into the tale.
