In the heart of London, an ordinary day takes an extraordinary turn for the Bolton family. Trevor, immersed in his work, Carol, preparing a family meal, and their teenage daughter Jane, lost in the world of her phone, are blissfully unaware of the impending chaos about to unfold.

Without warning, a massive electrical storm engulfs the Earth, plunging the world into darkness. Computers, power grids, and communication networks crumble, leaving society on the brink of collapse. As desperation sets in, criminal gangs emerge from the shadows, exploiting the vulnerability of a powerless society. Bobby, Jane’s boyfriend, finds himself lured into the allure of one such gang, a decision that will forever alter his life and his relationship with Jane.

Seeking refuge from the city’s escalating danger, Trevor makes the fateful decision to flee to the countryside. But will this choice lead them to safety, or will they find themselves facing even greater perils?

Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, the American government scrambles to comprehend the scale of the disaster. One steadfast General, convinced that this is a deliberate attack on the nation, vows to protect his country at any cost.

In this gripping tale of survival, love, and sacrifice, the Bolton family must navigate a world thrown into chaos, where the only certainty is that nothing will ever be the same again.

David was born in South London, UK. His working career included the Ministry of Defence, Medical Research Council, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, and finally Alcon Eye Care. David created his first trilogy based on his extensive work experience and travel, namely in North Germany, Saudi Arabia, Croatia, Bosnia, Switzerland, France, and Texas.

David retired in October 2019 and returned to France with his wife, Christine. The COVID-19 epidemic prompted him to focus on something that could happen, while still under the umbrella of science fiction. He is pictured with his wife, where they enjoy life in France surrounded by family and friends.
