Life seemed idyllic for the glamorous couple, a big house in the country, a successful career and a loving husband and child, what could be more perfect? Everyone wanted her life.

M.C. Fox, born in Edinburgh and raised in the scenic Scottish Borders, has had a diverse and inspiring journey. She built a successful career as a general manager for a prominent retail company and contributed as a writer for a well-known sporting magazine. After her marriage ended, she completed her degree with the Open University, before continuing higher education, earning a postgraduate degree with master’s credits in Primary Education with the UHI.

M.C. Fox’s achievements include being honoured as a Commonwealth Baton Bearer and serving as a poster representative for the Edinburgh Marathon. She currently resides in the Scottish Borders, where she finds joy in teaching at a local primary school. As a devoted single mother, she cherishes her time with her daughter.

Perfectly Woven Lies is her captivating debut novel, marking her first step into the world of fiction writing.

I read your book while on my cruise. I could hardly bear to put it down. But I had a dreadful feeling in the pit of my stomach while reading. I just wanted to yell “run, Isla, RUN!” I can’t wait for the sequel. I’ve given the book to my daughter to read and I’m sure it’ll be passed on to many of her book-sharing friends. If there are plans for an audio version, I hope you’ll do the reading. I pictured Isla with your gentle voice.

There is a sense of being the main character. Feeling the emotions inside her. Feeling the need to shout at those around her, but realising she’s a strong character who refuses to give up. You can’t shout at anyone because you realise you’re not there. The plot stays in your mind. This is THE book.

I was privileged to meet the writer when she visited our cafe Simply Scottish, after her book launch in Jedburgh recently. I was delighted to purchase her book which kept me gripped throughout. Although hard to read at times what Isla went through it gave me goosebumps right to the end. Hope there’s a sequel Highly recommend you purchase

I bought this novel as a holiday read and all I can say is WOW! From start to finish, I was hooked! Lying round the pool, at the beach and even sitting at the dinner table, I couldn't wait to turn the next page. It's the best book I've read in a long, long time would highly recommend it. Only snag is, I'm now waiting, not very patiently for the sequel! Wishing M C Fox all the very best for the future but what a truly amazing start she's made to her career as an author!

A brilliantly written story that really makes you stop and think. Do we ever truly know anyone and what goes on behind closed doors. Should we all be doing more to make sure those around us are truly safe, trust our own instincts, reach out and get involved no matter the consequences? This story is a reminder that we can all have deep, dark secrets. At times this is a heart breaking but powerful read that always has you rooting for the main characters to find a way through it all. Very much looking forward to reading more from this author.
