Nathan Fox lives in North Norfolk with his rescue cat Tosca. He graduated from the University of Sussex with a degree in social work and currently works in local government. He is passionate about the environment and considers animals to be his equals.


Connie Garrard lives in Bromley with her husband Nigel and their cat Baggins. She graduated from the London College of Music and still enjoys teaching piano and encouraging others to discover the world of music after more than 30 years.


Nathan and Connie met online after the loss of their soul animals, Pip and Blackie. Their grief brought them together and inspired them to combine Nathan’s storytelling and Connie’s artwork to honour their friends in this illustrated storybook.
