Upon discovering a substantial vein of copper ore nestled beneath the conserved lands of the Blue Mountains, a zealous mining tycoon sees a fortune within his grasp. However, his ambitions are thwarted by a dedicated local environmental group.A diverse coalition, ranging from scholarly academics to homeless drifters, rallies against the formidable forces of big business and government, vowing to safeguard the extensive sanctuary of flora and fauna residing within the unspoiled mountain forests. Yet, the battle they’ve embarked upon isn’t without its shades of moral ambiguity and legality. As the trail is strewn with hurdles of murder, love, and greed, a close-knit cadre of impassioned strangers forges an alliance to wage a valiant defensive. No stone is left unturned, no alliance too audacious in their pursuit to unearth the culprit behind the sinister murder and shield the beloved environment from desolation.Immerse in a narrative that introduces you to the most unexpected of heroes, evoking both love and despair as you witness the lengths some would traverse in the face of greed and the quest for opulence.

David Thirgood has worked as an economist, a project manager and risk manager. He has had other opportunities including as an adviser in Saudi Arabia where the occasional fleeting moment aroused his creativity. He has travelled extensively throughout Australia and overseas.

However, it was working in a school in Yulara near Uluru, amongst an eclectic group of people in the vicinity of one of Australia’s foremost environmental icons, that he discovered his passion for writing. The diversity and colours of the landscape, its history and and its people were his inspiration that has continued for more than a decade.

David has had many opportunities to immerse himself in the natural environment, the true source of his stimulation.

This is a book for people who value passion aligned explicitly with :- the protection of the environment; the majesty of the Australian bush; the intricacies of human relationships; mystery; love; and death. After reading chapter one, the reader’s curiosity is sparked as to how ‘Boof’ will further contribute to the narrative. As more characters are introduced and as Boof’s identity morphs, this question remains and entices the reader to continue reading the book. How do you stop loving someone? This is asked and elaborated upon in Reciprocated. It is an easy and uplifting read for all adults who enjoy intrigue and the changing dynamics of personalities.
