Do you want to sleep in a tree like a koala?

How about at the bottom of the ocean like a whale?

Or upside down in a cave like a bat?

Discover how different creatures go to sleep at night and imagine yourself snuggling down with them at bed time.

You can also try and spot the playful caterpillar hidden on every page.

Annabel Gardiner grew up in Bristol and has a BA Honours degree in English Literature from Queen's University Belfast. She now resides in Wiltshire with her family, Coco the dog and Scout the Shetland pony. Her debut novel "So How Will You Sleep" has been inspired and written for her two young children who share her passion for animals from all corners of the world.  When she is not writing, Annabel can be found riding horses or walking in the countryside.

We read this book at bedtime and it is perfect.

The illustrations are bold but use gentle colours to give that calm sleepy feel.
The words flow effortlessly. There is a good amount of repetition which aids with the flow and the ability of even young readers to join in fairly quickly.

It was very poetic to read.

Little bookworm (5) also really enjoyed the book. She loved the different animals and the ways they slept. It was a calm book which was exactly what we needed.

I also this book would be lovely to read to my nursery class. I am a big fan of Emma Dodd animal books and this reminded me of them but is more suitable for older children as well.

I read a digital advance copy of this book - I leave my review freely and honestly.
Definitely, a book that is going on my wish list so I have a physical copy at home for myself and a little bookworm to enjoy and also a copy for my classroom.

A great bedtime read. My little one loves this book and now knows the story by heart! She loves finding out where each animal sleeps and takes enjoyment in looking for the caterpillar on each page. It is written beautifully and the illustrations are fab. I would highly recommend it!

This is a lovely children’s book that teaches you about different animal habitats. Beautifully written and illustrated.

The verse has a consistent rhythm and rhyme which seems to lull my toddler to sleep. Would highly recommend it as a great bedtime story.
