Meet Stubs – a talking, walking Christmas tree – and his family.

He is fun, lovable, kind, mischievous, super stubborn and fiercely protective of his family. He loves cookies and tricks, gets bored easily and gets in all kinds of trouble in the human as well as the heavenly world.

Stubs absolutely refuses to be just an ‘ornament’ for Christmas, and as the Tannenbaum family – Mum (Amelia), Sadie, Tim and Tom – bring him home to their house, he is horrified and plays all sorts of tricks on them until he realises they are able to talk to him. Stubs becomes part of the family and the best friend they can ever imagine.

Joy Mitchell grew up in Europe and spent most of her life studying and travelling around the world. Whilst working in the world of science during the day, she has been writing during the night, making up stories for her children.

Joy now lives on a small farm in New Zealand and writes full time. While her family members sadly refused to be written about, her trees, horses and dogs were only too happy to be featured.

Omg this has to be the most magical Christmas book and Stubbs has won our hearts... can't wait to see what he gets up to next.

Brilliant Christmas story- we love it!

Must admit we had to read this before Christmas already, as it just looked so lovely and we are so glad we did. It is such an original story about a speaking Christmas tree who is 'adopted' into a family and from then on, they go on magical adventures wiht him. We loved that it played on earth and in heaven and that it introduces many more magical characters. The book is made up of 3 independent stories and they are so kind, funny, and heartwarming. You can restart them right after they are finished. They will always make your smile and want more. As it says volume 1, I hope many more volumes to come. We love it. Stubs is true Christmas spirit!!!

We loved this book.
Great Christ spirit! All about family and friends kindness and laughter. My kids loved that the best friend is a tree who can talk and take them on adventures and they want one too now!
Loved the separate stories, cannot wait to read more.
Must read for Christmas!
