J. K. Redman was born in Southern Africa and studied child psychology and development. She started to write children's books as a part of her studies and realised it was something she really enjoyed. It was her way to reach children in a positive way. The author decided to travel around the world and learn about different cultures and also study new languages such as French and is now fluent in Italian.

    It is so important for children to learn about the world differently and books are the best way. Clever idea!!!! The book is well written and has beautiful colourful characters and pictures that my children enjoyed. We all cannot wait for the next series.
