Nikoleta Hanzelová was born on 16 July 1982 in Bratislava. She graduated from primary, secondary and the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. At university, she studied book illustration with Professor Dušan Kállay and graphic design. She works as a graphic designer in Bratislava and in her free time likes to write, draw and go to nature. Among her favourite places in the world are Ireland, Provence and all those places she makes up in her imagination. Tales from the Stone Town is her first published book.
