Author Benedict Joseph Sinagra (aka B.J. Sinagra) is a retired engineer and software developer who, with his wife Moira, raised five children. They always read to their children when they were young and now they read to their grandchildren.

Ben wanted his grandchildren to experience the joy of reading he experienced when he read Aesop’s Fables as a child. Thus was born the book series of The Adventures of Speedy the Snail. Each book has adventure, cute characters, and a message to stimulate a child’s imagination. His grandchildren’s names are used for some of the characters in the series.
