The Angry Butcher of Berwick

The Angry Butcher of Berwick is infamous throughout the town, and everyone knows he’s angry.

For years, the Butcher has served the people of Berwick. He knows your mum, dad, aunt, uncle, brother, sister, grandma, grandad, and even your dog, and they all know he’s grumpy.

He cannot walk through the town without being recognized, and everyone knows he’s miserable. Once, the Butcher loved to laugh, joke, and have fun with his friends, but those days are long gone, and they all know it.

What happened to the Butcher? Why is he so angry?

Can anyone help him find happiness again?

Martin grew up in Berwick upon tweed and now lives with his wife Clare and daughters Jemima and Imogen in Newcastle.

It was thanks to Jemima’s disinterest in sleep that prompted Martin to write some of his stories while he sat outside her bedroom in the early hours waiting for her to drift off. One of which The Stuttering Coach was successfully published in 2022 a biological tale of the author himself.

This is the second book in which we hear tales of Martin’s father, who was the Butcher in his hometown. He hopes the book is a good reflection of the man and is well received by all who knew him and perhaps some who didn’t.
