Born in England, Laura Clarke emigrated to Australia in 1997 at the age of 25. In Australia, she raised her four sons alongside her husband Calvin. Having a family has been the greatest achievement of her life! The Clarke household was always one of song, dance, poetry and noise! Whenever there would be a Christmas, Easter or birthday, it was the great pleasure of Laura to write a poem to seal the celebration!

Working in various industries including teacher aide work with 4- to 8-year-olds, Sunday school teaching, office manager and personal assistant to a Pastor… and owning businesses in landscaping and operating a tour operation in North West Australia; Laura and her husband currently own and operate a driving school and her days are spent being a driving instructor in Noosa on the East Coast of Australia. Laura also does nannying, where she enjoys reading and singing story books with the children!

Family (including her husband’s daughter, her husband and two young daughters) and working with children and young people are her greatest passion! Along with writing children’s stories – especially in rhyme!
