What if we had the chance to relive our lives, not to make the same mistakes again? Those of you who are happy would certainly say no chance. But what if your so-called happy life turned out to be a lie, a sham and the opportunity presented itself? Imagine you had a second chance to try again. How many of us would take the gamble to dip our toes into uncharted waters?

Well, the main character, Poppy Day, believes that indeed she is living that gifted life. Then one day, she discovers the ‘Door’, the all-powerful ‘Door’ that has the power to change her life forever. Does she make that leap into the unknown, or does she play it safe and persevere with her humdrum life with her partner, Simon?

Fortunately for her, she feels like she is at a crossroads in her life and yes, she takes that leap into the unknown. The ‘Door’ delivers her to a new place in her life.

Poppy then realises that things are not as they seem, she has travelled back in time by ten years. Poppy soon gets distracted by a new handsome man in her life called Samuel Devere. Together they go on a rollercoaster ride of intrigue, love and sexual fantasy.

They certainly find love but can they find a way through the frustrations and obstacles put in the way by the ‘Door’?

The question is, will they survive and still be together at the end of the journey?

Steve Davis was born in Kidderminster and still lives in Worcestershire with his wife and two daughters. He is 62 years old, loves dancing to club music, enjoys a game of squash and likes drinking beer. After leaving school, he trained as a carpenter and joiner but then moved into sales. He excelled in sales—selling pharmaceuticals, cameras and even shoes to customers all over the world.

He has travelled extensively throughout the world for both business and pleasure. His hunger for adventure and new horizons has propelled him through life with a driving passion. His life was almost brought to an abrupt end in 2014 when he suffered a terrible accident which left him with multiple injuries, including a broken back. Thanks to the Air Ambulance, four years later, he has made a full recovery.

He would be the last person to have ever thought he would write a book, let alone get it published.

From the start I knew this was a book I wouldn’t be able to put down, it had me hooked from the introduction of Poppy. Great cliffhanger at the end, hopefully another book will follow.

Loved this book. Absolutely hooked from the start. Can't wait for the sequel. Each time I read a chapter couldn't wait to find out what happened next so had to carry on reading. Don't think I've ever read a book so fast let alone all the coffees that ended up going cold. Totally absorbing.
