The Long Way Round is a poignant tale that follows the life of Tom as he navigates the challenges of growing up and entering young adulthood. Paul Carter is a recently retired medical practitioner. He grew up in the UK, trained in London, and then moved to Australia where he spent over thirty years as the local family doctor in a small country town in central Victoria. He has published three collections of short stories about his experiences as a country GP.
