Evelyn harbours a heartfelt dream of becoming a nurse, healing the world one tender touch at a time. On the other paw, Khan the cat yearns for a life filled with thrilling adventures. In this enchanting picture book, dive into the delightful days of ‘dress-ups,’ where every outfit unveils a world of wonder, nurturing compassion, and sparking joy in little hearts. Together, Evelyn and Khan discover that imagination can stitch the realms of care and adventure into a tapestry of magical memories.

As a child, Tamorin Lavers found the dress-up box became her treasure trove of possibilities. Using the old skirts, necklaces, shoes and whatever else her Mum had put in there for her to find, she immersed herself in imaginative play. Later, as a mother of three boys, the dress up box was there again, and the play became adventurous, noisy, and always fun. Even the box itself became a car, train, or rocket ship. As a midwife and an award-winning Australian artist, Tamorin joyfully illustrates her own stories, which she hopes will inspire all the ‘grown ups’ and children who read this book and have a spare cardboard box to fill.
