All young school children know full well what to expect when they arrive at school each day. Imagine arriving at school to find out that something very important was missing that day. Maybe there were no teachers, no school bell, no rules or even could it be that there is no custard in the canteen. Follow the adventures of Oscar and his friends as they go to school only to find that something is missing. Something is not just quite right. What could possibly be the reason?

David Fleck is a teacher of science in a school in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. Married to Karen, he has one grown-up daughter and three young grandchildren. Because he is a school teacher, David knows the importance of fundamental aspects of school life. David enjoys the challenge of producing books that will captivate the imagination of young readers. Children love short bedtime stories, and it is his desire to provide these in a comical, heartwarming, and easy-to-read form.
