Colin E. Pyle was born in Salisbury, in 1968, and has lived in this area ever since. In 1980 he was hit by a lorry and nearly died, so passing his GCE ‘O’ Levels in English and Maths, RSA 1 Typing and 5 CSEs, was a reasonable achievement. He intended to work in the clerical sector but worked as a picker, in warehouses, for most of his life.
Colin joined various bands over the decades. Some of the creative moments, and performances, were very memorable and significant, while others were just a part of the journey to get to where he eventually arrived.
By the end of 2019, Colin finally released his first album and, by the end of 2022, Colin had released 11 albums and 4 singles as The Lost Connection. He now had a new job, new home, new live-in partner (his fiancée), over 1000 lyrics written, and around 250 songs recorded, which he had created, played and sung.
Colin now felt a sense of finality and closure after releasing ‘Whatever Happened’. He had been living in a dream for many decades and was now out of his bubble and finally living comfortably in the real world. The time was right to release this book.
