Rae is the mother of three children and grandmother of six, who lives in Australia. She is a retired psychologist who has also been a teacher. She meditates regularly and finds that it brings her infinite peace and happiness. She would love the current generation of children living in difficult times to also know this peace and happiness.
What a beautifully written book with such an important message. The story exudes love and calm. Meditation is such an important way to maintain a balance in your life and for a person to learn it at a young age can only be a positive lesson. A delightful book for young people which includes a way to show them how to negotiate their path through life.
Toby, the Bear who Meditates is a wonderful book to engage young children in the practice of meditation. As a primary school teacher, I have used this book to model easy meditation techniques to children who need a break from the busyness of the classroom. A beautifully written book which children can relate to and enjoy while learning!
While I have the same surname, we aren't related. What a great introduction to meditation for children. Two of my younger children read this the moment we had it and both loved it and did some meditation of their own.
