Kate Lily Loveley is the pen name of the author, who felt compelled to use the names of her female ancestors, as a unique way of keeping their memory alive.
Kate Loveley was the birth name of her maternal great grandmother. Lily, the Christian name of her paternal Grandmother. Alice, the title and main protagonist, was her maternal grandmother.

Her love of writing began with a gift of a five year lock up diary at the age of seven and she has never stopped writing since.
