This brilliant distillation of scholarship and real-life experience is a must-read for anyone who has children and especially for anyone contemplating separation or divorce.
The principal authors are a retired judge and a psychology professor who use real-life situations to demonstrate what children caught in between angry parents go through, and how to protect them from the worst of it.
An introduction by Judge Jack Helinger, whose passion is protecting children from Adverse Childhood experiences, and an extraordinarily candid recollection of her divorce and its ramifications by Judge Elizabeth Jack is an added bonus.

This book is easy to read, informative, and an excellent guide to available resources for persons dealing with child-rearing/custody disputes. As face-to-face in the modern world disappears in favor of digital communication, child-rearing/custody disputes become harder to resolve. This book offers examples and solutions. It is recommended reading for all family law attorneys and all persons who find themselves involved in child custody battles.
